Rink Attendant Job
Westmount Community League invites applications from qualified persons for the casual position of Rink Shack attendant. Reporting to the Westmount Community League Board, this position performs various duties of a general nature relating to facility operation, recreation events and programming.
Position Overview
Rink Shack Attendant is responsible for opening and closing the rink shack between the hours of 4:30 pm - 10:30 pm on peak usage days (Wednesday-Sunday), weather permitting.
They would be responsible for selling snacks and beverages. They will manage skater check in (look for skate tags or encourage skate tags to be visible) while overseeing the public skate sessions to ensure the operation is conducted safely and enjoyably. The attendant will manage community equipment such as nets, skating supports. The applicant may be asked to run/facilitate some learn to skate sessions over the course of the skating season. This position may be required to do some light shovelling in front of and around the rink shack to ensure a clear path to the rink.

The Rink Attendant position is casual with no guaranteed hours or benefits. The rate of pay for this position is $20.00/hour which is similar to the current CUPE agreement with the City of Edmonton for general labour. Position will be open until a suitable candidate is found.
