Community Soccer (EMSA)

WCL is proud to partner with Edmonton West Zone Soccer Association (EMSA West), who support and encourage children to be active and develop skills, while creating memories. We offer indoor and outdoor soccer for ages 4 to 19. Join a team and hone your skills or become a coach and take advantage of coach development and training courses.

Outdoor Soccer usually begins the first week of May and ends late June, except for teams proceeding to post season play (U11 to U19) who may play into July and August.

Indoor Soccer is played at indoor soccer facilities within Edmonton and the surrounding area. Game days are on weekends. Practice time is scheduled throughout the season. The indoor soccer season runs from mid-October until mid-February.

Despite the poor air quality along with the thunder storms, Westmount Soccer had a terrific outdoor season. It was a challenge getting all the games in but the Coaches did a fantastic job with rescheduling and finding ways to play.

It was definitely a hectic season with 27 teams, over 80 Volunteer Team Officials and just over 300 players. Thank you to all the Volunteers, it wouldn’t happen without all of you!! And thank you to the parents that support the program and drive their children several times a week and cheer loudly from the sidelines. Most nights the fields at Westglen were filled with soccer.

Congratulations! The Westmount U17 Girls won Gold at City Finals. What a great way finish!

Player and Team Official Registration is done online at

Indoor Soccer Registration is August 2 – Sept 11. Late registrations are placed on a waitlist until teams are formed and then placed in a community/team that has availability.

Westmount has fantastic volunteers, so please consider volunteering as a Team Official so we can keep the program in the Community.
